The Wheeler Chamber of Commerce is a great way for small businesses to get involved in the community. By joining the chamber, businesses can gain access to resources and networking opportunities that can help them grow and succeed. Chamber members also have the chance to give back to the community through chamber programs and events.
"I saw the opportunity to be a part of the North Wheeler County community and I wanted that connection point to grow as an individual and as a business." Lauren Guest divulged to us when asked about her and her husband, Hayden Guest, reasons for joining the Chamber of Commerce. "Every growth point in our life has been on the other side of a conversation and with the CoC (Chamber of Commerce) we have many opportunities to connect and grow."
When businesses join the chamber, they become part of a network of like-minded individuals committed to making Wheeler a great place to live, work, and raise a family. "We've learned how powerful small businesses and shopping local is to the growth of our rural community." Lauren continues to explain. "We're able to keep local businesses at the top of our minds when making buying decisions and our business is able to also stay top of mind for locals in return."
The chamber also offers resources that businesses can use to improve their operations. These resources include marketing resources, educational opportunities, and access to business experts.
In addition to being a great resource for businesses, the Wheeler Chamber of Commerce is an excellent avenue for companies to give back and get exposure. The chamber offers many programs and events that businesses can participate in throughout the year. The best opportunity is joining one of our many committees led by appointed chairman leaders in; Beautification, Chamber Membership, Small Business Saturday/ Christmas, and 4th of July/ Wild & Free.
If you are a business owner in North Wheeler County, we encourage you to join the Wheeler Chamber of Commerce. By joining, you will be helping to make our home a great place for businesses and families.
"We've been able to serve our community and bring people to our area by being connected to the gears that keep it all running smoothly..." Lauren adds. "No hesitation (in joining the Chamber) - when balancing risk vs reward it was a no-brainer to give it a shot (and) now they can't get rid of me!"
