As we get deeper into the month of February and closer to Valentine’s Day, consider how you can #LoveLocal a little more. One of the best ways is to become a member of the Wheeler Chamber of Commerce. This non-profit organization seeks to grow the community by supporting local businesses, local producers, local families and local students!
I DON’T HAVE A BUSINESS… CAN I STILL BE A CHAMBER MEMBER?
Anyone can be a Chamber Member! We have a variety of people who are stay-at-home parents, retirees, or work for a business that isn’t local but want to be involved in our community! Our members can be individuals who want to participate in local activities and the chamber offers a place to start. We also offer students to be part of the Chamber through our Youth Ambassador Program. This is a wonderful way for students to receive community hours and fide unique opportunities to plug in with local businesses and make connections. There are 4 Chamber Committees (Membership, Beautification, 4th of July and Small Business Saturday/Christmas) where members can be involved with our special events and projects happening all year long! This is a great way to meet new people who have the same passions and talents as yourself.
WHY SHOULD I BECOME A CHAMBER MEMBER?
When you are a Chamber Member you are on the ground floor of shaping the community of not only Wheeler, but the entire county! The Chamber is always in need of various talents, as we need assistance with different projects all year long. The Chamber is also an endless supply of information and resources for local businesses. This can be found in marketing content for Small Business Saturday, a business coach who visits every month, and a strong advertising support through social media. The Wheeler Chamber is heavily involved in many of our area events that you participate already every year, such as the 4th of July celebration and Small Business Saturday

WHAT IS A CHAMBER SPONSOR?
Many of our Chamber Members also sponsor events the Chamber hosts all year. Instead of paying multiple times throughout the year, we are offering a one-time check that covers membership AND all sponsorships for our chamber events. This does not keep other Chamber Members or non-Chamber Members from sponsoring Chamber events, but gives an option that works best for those wanting to just write one check! This also helps with advertising for these events when we want to give proper exposure to those who have given to support events and projects in Wheeler.
